With constant practice and training, you hone your body, your mind and your heart and gain the intuition and reflexes of a champion. Same thing is true in life.

英語(yǔ)拼寫和讀音的特點(diǎn)

英語(yǔ)拼寫很多情況下與讀音不相吻合——多個(gè)字母或字母組合發(fā)同一個(gè)音，同一個(gè)字母組合可以發(fā)多個(gè)音。如字母A可以發(fā)多達(dá)八個(gè)音;TH組合發(fā)三個(gè)音如其中Thailand、Thyme、Thames等單詞發(fā)不規(guī)則的/t/音;ough字母組合共有九種發(fā)音方式，這九種發(fā)音的代表單詞是：[①though雖然②thought思維、想法、思想、思潮③enough,rough足夠，粗糙的;使不平④thorough徹底的，完全的，十足的⑤cough咳嗽⑥through穿過(guò)，通過(guò)，從 …開始至終⑦ hiccough打嗝⑧plough耕作，皺眉⑨lough湖]如有一個(gè)句子：Though the rough cough and hiccough plough me through,I ought to cross the lough.在這個(gè)句子中同一個(gè)字母組合ough，有八種不同的發(fā)音。這八個(gè)音分別是分別是：①[o ]②[Λf]③[f]④[甂崀⑤[]⑥[u:]⑦[Λp]⑧[au]9[k]

不發(fā)音的字母特別多，如debt、ptarmigan、viscount、island、hour、indict等單詞都有不發(fā)音的字母。

拼寫完全混亂無(wú)規(guī)可循的單詞也很多Czech、Cello、Cafe、One、mnemonic、maugham、Vaughan、chalet、debut等。

英語(yǔ)的重音規(guī)則復(fù)雜，非重讀音節(jié)中的母音經(jīng)常弱化變音。重音位置的變化有時(shí)會(huì)導(dǎo)致詞性、詞義的改變，比如名詞 record 重音在第一個(gè)音節(jié)和動(dòng)詞record重音在第二個(gè)音節(jié)。

除了拼寫不規(guī)則和重音不固定外，英語(yǔ)單詞的讀音還受語(yǔ)境的影響。比如，當(dāng)邏輯重音不在can /k?n/上時(shí)比如I can go，can可讀作 /k渂/ 。
