端午節(jié)的習(xí)俗
“粽子香，香廚房。艾葉香差弊，香滿堂。桃枝插在大門上，出門一望麥兒黃。這兒端陽，那兒端陽，處處都端陽。”這是一首有關(guān)端午節(jié)的民謠。
全國各地人民過端午節(jié)的習(xí)俗大同小異，而端午節(jié)吃粽子，古往今來，中國各地都一樣。
如今的粽子多種多樣，璀璨紛呈。現(xiàn)今各地的粽子，一般都用箬殼包糯米，至于內(nèi)含的東西，則根據(jù)各地風(fēng)俗而定，著名的有桂圓粽、肉粽、水晶粽等等。到了端午節(jié)，我們可就能一飽口福了。
端午節(jié)的許多習(xí)俗與“五”這個數(shù)字緊緊地聯(lián)系在一起。
比如說端午節(jié)那一天各家要插“五端”：菖蒲、艾草、石榴花、蒜頭、龍船花。
南方過端午節(jié)要吃“五黃”：黃魚、黃瓜、咸鴨蛋黃、黃豆瓣包的粽子、雄黃酒。
端午節(jié)小孩要佩戴香囊，傳說有辟邪之意，實際是用來當(dāng)佩飾用的，以紅、黃、藍、白、黑五色絲線扣成索，做出各種不同形狀，形形色色、玲瓏可愛。
南京過端午，每家都會準(zhǔn)備一盆清水，在里面加兩枚鵝眼錢和一些雄黃，家里的大大小小每個人都要用這種水洗臉，稱為“破火眼”，據(jù)說可保一年沒眼疾!
1、端午節(jié)的由來(Dragon Boat Festival)
The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar. It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.
端午節(jié)，又稱為五五節(jié)，因返悄為端午節(jié)是在農(nóng)歷的五月五日，是三個重要的中國節(jié)慶之一，其它兩個核攜分別是中秋節(jié)和農(nóng)歷新年。
2、Eating zongzi 吃粽子
Zongzi are pyramid-shaped dumplings made of glutinous rice, stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. This traditional food is popular during the Dragon Boat Festival.

Realgar wine is Chinese liquor seasoned with realgar. It is a custom to drink the wine during the Dragon Boat Festival.

The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating Qu's body. They also sat on dragon boats, and tried to scare the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking dragon-head in the front of the boat.
In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as "Poets' Day", due to Qu Yuan's status as China's first poet of personal renown.
Today, people eat zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fishes) and race dragon boats in memory of Qu's dramatic death.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, people have the customs of eating zongzi(rice dumpling),racing dragon boats and drinking realgar wine, etc. Since 2008, it has been listed as a national legal holiday in China. In September, 2009, UNESCO officially approved it to be included in the List of Representatives of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and the Dragon Boat Festival became the first festival in China to be selected as a world heritage.
